  This shop was contacted by a shipping company to perform repairs to a piece of furniture that was damaged during shipping. The first appointment was scheduled for 5 days after our initial conversation, a conversation in which Mr. Mallard recited a verbal resume that should prove that he is a legendary craftsman. On the afternoon of the appointment he called to cancel when a more important job came in and needed to be addressed as soon as possible. The second appointment was scheduled for the next day, and a specific time was requested by Mr. Mallard to meet and look at the scope of work. After rearranging my schedule to respect his request, I was left waiting for over an hour. There was not even a courtesy call. He showed up 1.5 hours later, but I had to pick up my daughter, and missed him. Apparently if you have a repair that is being covered by a third party, this is not the shop for you, despite the fact that you would like your investment cared for by a professional. Everyone is concerned about the bottom line, but a customer's concern for his or her property should never been minimized in this way. It is unprofessional and unethical.
